Pinball is a physics performance art. Translating that performance to Android required us to rethink what “authentic” means on a glass screen. At MoxRex in Mumbai, building Mighty Pinball was an exercise in restraint: preserve kinetic joy, remove input ambiguity, and respect session length for mobile life. Players do not stand at a cabinet for forty minutes on a local train. They want three-minute bursts that still feel like pinball, not a simplified toy.
We entered the project with arcade heritage from Mighty Bricks Breaker and precision movement lessons from Go Arrow. Pinball demanded a different synthesis—high temporal precision, multi-target scoring chains, and tactile feedback cues that compensate for absent physical bumpers. Every design choice was tested against one question: does this still feel like pinball when you are holding a phone in portrait mode?
Table Layout for Small Screens
Traditional tables optimized for landscape cabinets do not always translate to portrait mobile play. We redesigned lane hierarchy so critical targets remain in central vision while flippers stay in natural thumb zones.
