Overview
Black Myth: Wukong is a 2024 single-player action RPG developed by Chinese studio Game Science, using Unreal Engine 5. You play as the Destined One—a staff-wielding monkey inspired by Sun Wukong from Journey to the West—on a quest to recover six relics tied to his six senses. The title launched on PlayStation 5 and Windows on August 20, 2024, with an Xbox Series X/S release following in August 2025.
The game received widespread critical acclaim and became one of the fastest-selling titles ever, reportedly moving 20 million copies in its first month. It broke records on Steam for concurrent single-player users and won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024.
